Being a mom is a full-time job. Between meals and messes, laundry and lavatory care, dishes and diapers it is hard to find time for the most important activities. We have declared every Thursday as Kid Day for our family. I do my best to get all my chores done before Thursday, with help from Jackson and Annalee, so that we can go play. Today we went to the Dino Land playground in the South Towne Mall in Sandy. After the kids jumped and slid all over the prehistoric land we headed over to the food court for some kid pleasing pizza.
Another great place for kid day is a place called Jump On It. This huge warehouse is home to over 50 trampolines that are all smashed in a corner. For the cheapest time, we head on over from 10-11am on Thursday. This is their mom and me time and it only costs us $3.00 for Jackson. Mom and baby girl are FREE.
One more place that we visited in February was the Monte L. Bean Museum on BYU Campus. This is a great learning activity for the kids. Jackson loved the "buffano" and the bugs. Annalee liked wandering around and seeing all the animals.

That sounds like such a great idea. I was talking to my bishop's wife yesterday and we were commenting on how much we like Thursdays because by Thursday, we usually have all our "to do" things done and it's a more relaxed day. (BTW...my dad would take us to the Bean Museum for FHE when I was younger and I loved it...especially the beetles).

Gosh, I wish I had a kid day :) Maybe we'll have to join you some times.
