The kiddos and I headed up Little Cottonwood Canyon in August to hike the Cecret Lake trail. After researching it a little on the net, I felt like we could handle a 3/4 mile hike with only about a 400 ft raise in elevation. Little did I know that it would pour on us during parts of the hike and I would have to carry the little princess most of the way. Once we made it to the top, we ate our sandwiches in the freezing cold rain and watched the squirrels check us out. Thankfully we were blessed with a couple of angels to help us get down the mountain. Two women hikers passed us on the way down and then turned back to offer help. Annalee was carried down, under a ponch by one of the women.I enjoyed this hike so much that I have convinced Scott that we will be going as a family when the Fall leaves make their debut. I can't wait!!!

That is a very beautiful place. I'll have to tell Matt about it.
Wow - you're a trooper!
