I've taken control of our blog for a minute

While Mommy is resting I wanted to tell you a few things before I hit the big 5. You got it, I'm turning 5 in a week and a half and wanted to let you all know what I have accomplished in this last year.

One major accomplishment that I am so proud about is that I can tie my own shoes. In fact, if you'll hold still long enough, I'll even tie yours. This is how I do it
"I make an X, cross it under, and make a loop and I get the other loop and the other loop and I pull it tight."

Another thing that I have mastered is writing my own name. At first I had to learn the letters and how to draw them. After I figured out the spelling and the letters, I went to town writing my name backwards. After many more hours of practice, I can honestly say that I can write my name and you can read it without a problem! I showed my preschool teacher, Miss Cindy, that I could write my name and she was so surprised that she showed it to all the others in the class.

I brush my teeth every night so that I don't get another cavity. I had my first cavity filled this past summer!

I am really good at getting into bed all by myself.

I am also the best big brother to my little sister Annalee. We love to play together and mom lets us play even when we make humongous messes!

Another thing that I am really great at is helping my dad around the house. The last project that we have been working on is repairing a hole in the door that appeared after I put my fist through it, oops.

Lastly, I just want to let the world know that I am Jackson and I love life. I love my family and I can't wait to turn 5 because I know I can do anything!!
