Update!

Whole New Level of Crazy
Believe it or not, I can't bring myself to buy anything new from RC Willey or any other furniture store. We are embarking on the adventure of finding a bed for Jackson that fits into our style and budget. After visiting six possible retailers of new and used furniture, I came up with a brilliant idea, or so I thought. I can make a matching headboard and foot board!Fast forward to President's Day and take a peak in our garage. We now host a working wood shop with power tools and sawdust! Believe it.Our newest hobby of furniture building in slow but strong. After learning how to use the new power tools, we were off.Maybe by next President's Day we'll be done. Just kidding. We are about two-thirds done with the cutting. Next will be the assembly and glue. Last of all will be the final sand, one coat of primer, two coats of black paint, a clear finish and final assembly in Jackson's room. Wish us luck!
Check out the finished bed!! Jackson is so happy with it and so am I!!

This last picture is just to show off a puffy quilt I made over ten years ago.

Wow Holly! That is so cool what you do. I am so sad I am moving away. Oh the furniture we could build and refinish together. I'll just keep an eye on your blog for ideas for our home in DC!
